Covid-19 Guidelines for Classes September 2020
Little Music Makers is delighted to restart and
continue the current term of classes. Classes will
resume at the Drogheda Presbyterian Church. Little Music
Makers in conjunction with the Presbyterian Church venue are
adhering to Covid-19 guidelines to ensure the safety of the
community.
Little Music Makers will have the following
procedures in place to ensure all students and parents feel
safe and protected;
-
Current class times will change slightly to allowing ten minutes for cleaning down of surfaces between classes, see timetable below. Please wait outside room until this cleaning is completed.
-
All communication with Maria should take place via email or text and not at class time or at venue
-
At drop off adults should wear face masks and sign health form, Maria will wear a visor
-
On arrival students will sanitise hands with products provided, this will be a fun activity to include rhyme and rhythm
-
Students will be socially distanced within the music room, with small chairs, mats or hula-a-hoops depending on class age-group.
-
For school-age classes, activities will continue with each class having it’s own weekly percussion instrument box and each child being allocated their own sanitised instrument leading to zero cross-contamination. Gentle singing and recorder playing along with music theory book will progress, and any changes will be implemented according to Covid updates and guidelines.
-
After each music class, it is imperative that the parent/guardian is present at pick up time.
-
Parent and Child Classes No siblings unless twins and just one parent with their child. Class size has been reduced and class time is now thirty minutes. Each week I will prompt you as to class content, bringing your child’s own toy for ‘What’s in the Box’ and instrument for musical activities etc
-
Updates as they occur, and new Covid-19 guidelines will be texted to parents alongside the Little Music Makers Facebook page
I trust you understand the need for a
‘new normal’ in these times and I assure you that Little
Music Makers classes will still be lots of fun with social,
cognitive and musical development goals at its’ heart.
Thank you for your
understanding and your co-operation.
